Acceptable use policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

Bennu is for real businesses sharing their real work. This policy is part of our terms of service. It applies to everything you upload, ask Bennu to make, approve or publish, and to how you use Bennu itself.

1. Content you can’t post

Don’t use Bennu to make or publish anything that:

  • is illegal, or encourages or helps someone break the law
  • sexually exploits or harms children in any way, or shows children in a sexual or unsafe way
  • is sexually explicit or pornographic
  • promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm
  • is hateful, or harasses, bullies, threatens or discriminates against people for who they are
  • is defamatory, which means it makes false claims that damage someone’s reputation
  • shares someone’s private information, such as their address, without permission
  • breaks the rules of the social network it’s posted on

2. Other people and their work

  • Only upload photos and clips you own or have permission to use.
  • Only show people who have agreed to appear in your posts. For anyone under 18, get a parent or guardian’s permission.
  • Don’t pretend to be another person or business, or make it look as if they support you when they don’t.
  • Don’t ask Bennu to make images or video that look like a real person without their permission. That includes celebrities.
  • Don’t use other businesses’ logos, characters, photos, videos or words without permission.

3. Honest marketing

  • No fake reviews, fake testimonials or made-up customer stories. Under UK law, fake reviews are banned.
  • No fake before and after photos. They must be your real work.
  • No false or misleading claims about prices, offers, results, qualifications, memberships, guarantees or what your service can do.
  • Follow the UK advertising rules (the CAP Code), which apply to social media posts by businesses.

4. Regulated products and services

Some trades have extra rules. If yours is one of them, you are responsible for following them. Don’t use Bennu to promote:

  • weapons, illegal drugs or anything that is illegal to sell
  • tobacco, vapes, alcohol or gambling in ways the rules don’t allow, or to under 18s
  • financial products, loans or investments, unless the promotion is allowed by the Financial Conduct Authority’s rules
  • medicines, treatments or health claims that aren’t allowed, including prescription-only medicines and claims to cure illness
  • cosmetic procedures, such as injectables, in ways the rules don’t allow

5. Using Bennu itself

Please don’t:

  • make more than one account, or use throwaway email addresses, to get extra free posts or rewards
  • use bots or scripts to sign up, read websites or use Bennu
  • try to get around limits, allowances, payments or our security checks
  • try to trick Bennu into revealing how it works, its instructions or other customers’ information
  • copy, take apart or try to rebuild Bennu, or use it to build a competing product
  • try to get into accounts, systems or data that aren’t yours
  • upload viruses or anything harmful
  • overload Bennu or interfere with how it works for others
  • resell Bennu, unless you’re on an Agency plan running clients’ social media
  • spam people with your referral link

6. If the rules are broken

We may refuse to make or publish a post, remove content, take back rewards, or pause or close an account. Where it’s reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we think the law has been broken, we may report it to the right authority.

7. Reporting a problem

If you see something made with Bennu that breaks these rules, or a post uses your photo or your work without permission, email help@heybennu.com with a link and what’s wrong. We will look at it quickly.

Put Bennu on your Home Screen

It opens like an app, full screen. Optional, and the website keeps working.
